The Sixties

After finding that DIY began in the 1950's and DIY Design and fashion began with the Punk movement in the 70's, I wanted to look more into the design of the 60s. From Swinging London to the Hippy Look, I found that a small part of design was similar to that of the 70's with ransom note and bricolage styling (maybe this is what influenced the punks.) On the other hand, as you can see from the images I have collected, a lot of design work was very psychadelic. They are shape orientated and influenced by pattern. The use of hand drawn typography was popular even on zine covers.
